Halloween 2010
Welcome everyone (that remains).
The plans from the meeting are as follows:
Wii: SSBB
GC: Double Dash
PS2: ???
We need controllers (GC and PS2, at least 4 GC).
There will be security, and people need to bring quarters to make change. I'll also be doing backpack checks so that people do not make off with our controllers like last year. We'll all be getting out of our 3rd periods 1/2 hour early (YAY! I Hate WATT's class). Post your class and room number in the comments, and anything else I missed. See you all on Monday.

The Fate of what Gaming will be.
Dear Press Start members, (if anyone's out there still)
Although I'm rejected for being an outsider due to going to a different school, I still have more than enough leadership capability to lead a club. However, that is not what I wish to mention today.
What I would like to say is that Summer is upon us once again. What does it entitle us to? First off, work and play. We need to work so we can buy the games that will come out within the next year. I can assure you that I am working 20 hours a week so I can buy the games for the next few months. Play is also upon us, since we have almost nothing in our lackadaisical agendas but to play marathons of games.
The second thing I'd like to mention are Summer releases. There are a multitude of games coming out this summer, such as the long awaited Starcraft 2, Wings of Liberty that came out only a little while ago. Although it is the Terran storyline, we still have the game to tide us over until more expansions come out for our other games.
I'd also like to touch on a third topic: Teasers. Yes, we all know that Black and White, the new Gen 5 games for Pokemon, have been playing teasers since the release of HG and SS in Japan, but we can all look forward to Pokemon Rangers: Guardian Signs as much. The 3DS has also shown it's capability, and the rumors for a 3DS Kingdom Hearts game is also planned to release after April 2011. I can gladly say that the summer is leading up to a pokemon 6 months of events, as well as many many videos of endless gameplay.
Why I bring up gen 5, although being a pokemon fan since the first 2 seasons of the anime and since playing from Gold on, I would like to mention the new advancement of handhelds. (If you wish to avoid a large post-storyline spoiler, skip to the next paragraph. Go on, go ahead.) Gen 5 will bring us into our friend's game. We can interact with their NPCs, and their character themselves, instead of a union room wait. After witnessing this on a Pokemon Sunday video on youtube, I fell very hopeful that post-story line gameplay will be very entertaining, beyond voice chatting using the DS microphone via Nintendo WFC. Triple battles, more realistic images, 3D-like graphics without glasses, and triple battles will bring a new set of strategy, as well as shooting at your gen I-IV pokemon in the new pal park version. This series will also feature game exclusive locations, which is the first big step into less boring, repetitive gameplay.
Beyond the pokemon, we still have so much to look forward to. Anime releases, manga scans, and FFXIV holds the return of Nobuo Uematsu, the greatest composer for the FF series ever, in my opinion. With the MMORPG gameplay accompanying the new story, who knows what lies beyond the doors of beta testing! Summer is only around for 1 more month, we should take advantage and play while school's out of session!

Press Start's Mascot Contest
Mexsas here!
Just wanted to remind you guys that we are currently having a contest once again!
This time however you guys have to create a mascot for our club!!!
You will also have time to work on this at home, school, or any place you want
You can either draw it by had or CG it in Photoshop
The only rule is that there should be NO NUDITY!!!!
Please be creative on this and do your best an don't give us a 5 second effort but work in it!!!!
The contest will be over once we get back from Spring Break and the winner will be determined by anonymous voting by the club cabinet and members
The winner will also get to have his/her drawing as the official mascot for the club and will be posted on our page. There will also be a suprise prize!

Anime Expo 2010
Hello this is Mexsas (AKA your club's secretary)
Well I was just wondering if anybody is going or is planning on attending this years Anime Expo in the L.A. Convention Center on July 1-4
Well for you that don't know what anime expo is an anime convention where attendees cosplay at some point during the convention, while attending seminars, panel discussions, vendor booths, and more. Popular events (in addition to guest and industry panels) include the masquerade, karaoke contest, anime music video contest, and "AX Idol" contest. Anime Expo is a 24-hour convention, offering late-night dances, all night video and gaming rooms, and open-mic Karaoke in the nighttime hours
I've already bought my 4-day pass!!
The reason that I'm making this post is so that if anyone is going or wants to go we can go as a group.
So here are the prices:
4-Day Pass:
Early (February 1, 2010 – April 30, 2010): $65.00
Regular (May 1, 2010 – July 4, 2010): $75.00
2-Day Pass:
Two Day Adult (consecutive days ONLY): $50.00
1-Day Pass:
(any of the four days): $35.00
*You could always volunteer during the convention and you can get a free pass for every 4 hours*

Heartgold Soulsilver Musts!
To all people of Press Start, and our followers, loyal or somewhat loyal (if we have any...). I, Bokochaos, have been depressed on not finding my Diamond, which had lots of rare pokemon on it, but I will find it (hopefully).
Anyway, I'm skewing the topic. Speed runs are bad, because you miss out on the strife, but I know how to get exclusive pokemon for those of us who like a full 100%(-ish) completion.

Anyway, good luck on your journeys, as we all try to get the exclusive event/ wi-fi pokemon to complete our obscure pokedex. (I still haven't opened mine up due to lack of ambition.)
