With only one day left till the update goes live, the final weapons for both classes have been revealed.
Soldier
The Soldier will receive The Equalizer, a pickaxe that will take the place of his shovel. The closer to death the Soldier is, the faster and stronger he gets making him a walking Grim Reaper of pick axe wielding doom. Losing is now an acceptable strategy.
The weapon taking the slot of his trusty shotgun isn't really a weapon, but a bugle named The Buff Banner. As the Soldier dishes out damage, a rage bar will fill. Once full, the Soldier can whip out The Buff Banner and let out a rally cry. For 14 seconds any allies that rally around your flag will deal mini-crits.
Demoman
The Demoman will receive The Scottish Resolve, a replacement for his original sticky bomb launcher. This sticky bomb launcher is much more tactical, allowing the Demoman to plant up to 16 bombs, and detonate different clusters at once, unlike the original sticky bomb launcher that set them off all at once. However, this weapon has a longer priming rate, making it less ideal for close combat.
As the war draws to a close, Demomen are behind by only around 14 thousand kills. Who will come out on top in this war?

Team Fortress 2- The Direct Hit
Another day, another update. Today, Valve has revealed The Direct Hit, another Rocket Launcher for the Soldier.
http://www.teamfortress.com/soldierupdate/index.htm#item_1
Unlike the old Rocket Launcher, The Direct Hit has a much smaller blast radius after a rocket hits, meaning you'll have hit your target directly, rather than the area around him. Thankfully, that's an easier task because The Direct Hit shoots 80% faster, and does more damage. For people that can REALLY aim, any hits made against a target in the air will be a guaranteed mini-critical.
Wow, with the speed this weapon fires, I'm gonna have to learn to aim at the enemy, rather than they're feet. I still like the Demoman's new weapons better though, because it creates an entirely new playing style for the defensive Demo. AND ITS A BLOODY CLAYMORE. Still, with more weapons to be revealed, we'll see who gets the better end of the deal.
Oh, and the kill gap between the Soldiers and Demos get smaller every day.
It currently stands at \
4923531 Soldiers killed to 5056134 Demomen killed

Team Fortress 2- The Eyelander
Team Fortress has revealed the first 2 new weapons unlockable for the Demoman, available most likely on Thursday when the update goes live.
This Close Combat kit includes a haunted claymore thirsting for necks, the Eyelander (Reference to Highlander),which makes the Demoman stronger with every kill. This probably takes the place of the Demo's bottle melee weapon.
So the Eyelander.....maybe...
THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE
per team
The second weapons in this kit is The Charging Targe, a shield that will allow you to ram enemies and bludgeon your enemies to death. It also provides increased defensive, and boost the crits of the Eyelander. This shield will be an alternative to the Demo's sticky bomb launcher, which is really the Demo's best weapon.
These weapons are sure to provide the Demoman with a new interesting style of play, and there's still another weapon to be shown, and maybe a 4th if he wins the competition against the soldier. And c'mon he's Scottish, the claymore is only natural. Though instead of a shield, he should have used two swords like a real manly Scot.

WAR! Team Soldier vs. Team Demoman

Forget Team Edward and Jacob! Hell forget Team RED and Team BLU!
It's war as Team Fortress 2 is once again being updated. The shovel wielding Soldier class and the stick bomb launching Demoman class will be competing to obtain a 4th unlockable weapon at the end of the week. In addition, like most of the game's other updates, each class will get 3 new weapons as the week goes on. Soldier's are up by about 100k kills right now, though that can easily turn around. Valve sure knows how to turn people against each other.
They're also having a propaganda contest if any of you artistic folks are interested in getting in on that, even if you're not a fan of the game.
http://www.teamfortress.com/propaganda/submit.php
It'd be pretty awesome if one of you guys won it. Contest ends Thursday I think, when the update is supposed to go live.
Who are you siding with? The Black Scottish Cyclops, or the Screaming Eagle?

Megaman 10 coming to WiiWare

I know I'm supposed to be on a boycott, but this news about the my favorite boy in blue, Megaman was too good to pass up. Big thanks to Manny, Kim, Mr.Y, and Josh for their contributions though. Shame on everyone else. However, YOU could be the 5th poster, thus officially ending the boycott. DO IT.
Capcom is making another 8-bit addition to the Megaman series, like they did with Megaman 9, for the downloadable service on the Wii, Wiiware. It will most likely be available on the Xbox Live Arcade, and the PSN Network as well, though I haven't seen anything confirming that. Here are the details so far
- Mega Man is looking for a vaccine to fight Robotenza, which causes robots to overheat and go crazy
- You can play as Protoman right from the start!( In Megaman 9 you had to buy him as DLC.)
- There is a 3rd playable character, yet to be revealed.
- Sheep Man: Gives you the Thunder Wool weapon when you beat him
Hope no one goes BAWWWW about having to kill a sheep
- For non veterans of the series or people who prefer to not punch their T.V in a fit of rage, there will be an easy mode.
Pretty awesome eh? If Capcom doesn't make that artwork a poster, I will murder someone. I can also live out my dream of murdering robotic thunder spewing sheep.

The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya
Season II of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya has ended for a while now, and we can now enjoy an additional 8 episodes of one of the most well known animes. (14 if you count the endless 8, but come on who does?) And now it's time for the 4th novel to go on the air, but instead of making another season they decided instead to make a film!
